Bug Hotel Posts

from $1,107.60

Simple, robust, and quietly purposeful, these bug hotel posts are carved from solid Australian hardwood, in the same spirit as our sculpted bush poles. Each post is drilled with an array of small holes of varied diameters to create habitat for insects and small invertebrates, encouraging biodiversity and ecological engagement at ground and eye level.

The words “Bug Hotel” are pyrographed directly into the timber, making the function of the piece clear while retaining a hand made, understated quality. Tool marks, grain variation, and natural checking are left visible, allowing the post to weather and develop character over time.

The lower 600 mm is sealed for ground contact. Bitumen is used as standard, it is the most durable and practical option for concreting, offering long term resistance to soil moisture.

Designed to be used as a standalone ecological feature or integrated into play equipment, forts, or climbing structures. Suitable for hanging nets or ropes, or for installation within nature play environments, gardens, and public landscapes.

• Lengths: 2.4 m or 3.0 m
• Diameters: 100–200 mm or 200–300 mm
